Recent launches from Brother and Canon brought new budget printers that were able to scan and copy as well. Most these days are AIOs even if they lack an ADF. It’s rare to see a modern printer that only…prints. But the L120 print speeds weren't far off this either. Printing costs are kept low with the use of ink bottles that can print up to 4,500 pages in black and 7,500 pages in colour, at speeds up to 9.0 ipm for black and 4.8 ipm for colour. There are also fewer parts and consumables used that would require replacement from the user. This means that it uses no heat during the printing process so less energy is consumed, resulting in cost savings for the business. A noticeable and rather ugly compartment that Epson uses to hold the inktanks. In terms of design, both feature that “step” on the side of the printer.
